We are delighted to welcome Dr. Ruth Brown, an assistant professor and a psychologist researcher at Virginia Institute for Psychiatric and Behavioral Genetics of Virginia Commonwealth University.

She will talk about recognizing anxiety and depression in children with Down syndrome and tips for helping them cope. She is the author of a free workbook, Blue Busters - Building Resilience to Stress, Depression, and Anxiety. She has written this book to help parents support their children who are experiencing periods of stress, anxiety and depression. Dr. Brown will be happy to introduce this book at the presentation (downloadable for personal usage).  There will be an open Q&A at the end of her presentation.

This presentation is intended for parents of a child with Down syndrome. It is FREE but space is limited.

Please note: no childcare is available at this session. Light refreshments will be served.
